In Your Service author and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Galen Maddy, C.F.C., CEPS, is celebrating 40 years of serving clients nationwide as founder and president of the Galen Maddy Group.
The graduate of Michigan State University is nationally recognized for his expertise and accomplishments in tax planning, financial advising and retirement planning for seniors. Board Certified as a tax consultant and former member of the Board of Directors of First Pension Savings and First Liberty Financial, Galen's commitment is to provide highest- quality service and value for senior clients and their financial planning needs.
In recent years, Galen has added to his already decorated portfolio by taking on the task of helping wartime veterans receive the little-known Aid and Attendance Benefit. The pro bono work has enabled him to touch on an aspect of his own personal history- serving during Vietnam War- and the Saga of his Uncle Frank.

Merwyn J. Miller earned his law degree at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, and holds a Masters degree in Financial Services with an emphasis in Estate Planning. He has taught law courses at both public and private colleges and for many years served as a member of the adjunct faculty of the College for Financial Planning. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1974 and has been certified by that organization's Board of Legal Specialization as a specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. professional practice has emphasized estate planning for over 20 years. He is also the Author of the QVap Trust, a special trust that can be used when applying for the VA Pension.
